Following it’s successful Kickstarter campaign, the team at Cybershoes have today launched an Indiegogo campaign allowing VR enthusiasts around the world the chance to pre-order the first Oculus Quest accessory for walking and running in VR.
The Kickstarter campaign met its goal of $30,000 in one day, and concluded with 470 backers pledging $98,420 – 328% of the initial funding goal. VR users interested in getting feet-on with their own Cybershoes who did not back the project on Kickstarter can now pre-order units via the Indiegogo campaign at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/cybershoes-for-oculus-quest/.
Over the Kickstarter campaign we got provided with a prototype module for the Quest 2, and if you would like to know our hands-on opinion of the product, you can here.
Michael Bieglmayer, CEO of Cybershoes said;
“We’re absolutely thrilled with how many people have supported our vision of providing new, intuitive locomotion capabilities to the Oculus Quest and Quest 2. We can’t wait until our backers are able to get their hands, or feet, on the product and feel what it’s like to use their natural body movements to navigate a doomed research facility on Mars and experience Doom3Quest in VR. Thanks to Team Beef’s support of Cybershoes, slaying evil demons, pulverizing zombies and squashing Hell’s attempt to take over the earth has never felt more immersive.”
With that statement in mind, the Cybershoes team has also announced full integration with Doom3Quest, the only fully wireless implementation of the Doom 3 single player campaign in standalone VR. This mod is built by Team Beef, and developed natively for Oculus Quest and Quest 2.
