LOW-Fi is an upcoming cyberpunk VR game, that has got us really excited through the updates over on creator Blair Renaud’s Twitter announcements and feed. The game is looking like it is going to be something really special, that has been built from the ground up for VR.
Also LOW-Fi is a spiritual successor to TECHNOLUST (available on Oculus Home).
The game is planned for launch of all PCVR headsets, and will be available through Oculus or Steam VR. So,
About the game;
As the player, you are “low-fi”, the street name given to those who cannot merge with the platform, a ubiquitous virtual reality simulation where most of the population now live their lives. You are a police officer and have been transferred to a particularly crime ridden section of city-block 303. The only inhabitants of note in your jurisdiction are other low-fi, and the human intelligence (or lower) artificial life forms who have remained among the citizens after the AI singularity.
The game today launched its Kickstarter campaign to help fund completing this passions project from Blair. As you will see from the trailer above, this really looks like it will be another solid VR title and one that could become a defining title of the technology. We would love to see this campaign hit is goal and become a reality. Please show your support and let’s get this game out on all the available platforms.
The Kickstarter is now officially open, and features immediate access to the development build and exclusive digital rewards.
