Carbon Studios have announced that The Wizards – Dark Times, a fully fledged release sequel to the original The Wizards has made it to the final production stage. Also, they have announced the release is scheduled for June 4th 2020, and will be available on the Oculus Store and Steam for $24.99.
This was initially planned as a standalone expansion, but The Wizards – Dark Times has ended up becoming a full sequel during the games development process – which we don’t think is a bad thing as we really enjoyed playing the original.
In The Wizard – Dark Times, players can;
- Use nothing but gestures of their hands to master 11 individually designed spells – as a true Wizard does!
- Unleash the elements to freeze, paralyze, and set foes on fire
- Face a variety of challenging enemies with individual behavior
- Journey through the plague-ridden realm of Meliora and stop the end of the world, with no magical barriers to lock you in an arcade arena!
Along with exceptional spellcasting mechanics, The Wizards – Dark Times features acclaimed narration and voice acting by Jason Marnocha, who returns as the Wizard’s mentor and guide, Aurelius.
Additionally, they team have confirmed due to high demand, the game will receive a series of free post-launch content updates.
On The Wizard – Dark Times, Jakub Pander, Carbon Studio’s producer said;
Since Gamescom 2019, where the Dark Times’ press demo received overwhelming praise, we decided to extend the scale of the project. We made sure our spellcasting adventure will keep everyone slinging fireballs and roleplaying as the Emperor for hours, without any pesky magical barriers that slow your progress
You can wishlist The Wizard – Dark Times on Steam to get notified on the games release. Also, keep your eye on The VR Realm for more coverage of the game as it is released.
