The five legendary Punk Rock songs included are;
Ramones – Blitzkrieg Bop
Blink 182 – All The Small Things
Jimmy Eat World – Sweetness
The All-American Rejects – Move Along
Sum 41 – Fat Lip
Again all these tracks are playable in any of the single player modes on offer (Arcade, Classic or Smashed Reality the games MR mode). All of the songs are playable across all the difficulties settings offered, but, unlike the other track packs all the songs seem as difficult as each other – with none really standing out as slower in the amount of drums to smash.
PotemWorks really have picked a good selection of different styles of songs from the different era’s of Punk Rock, and it took me back to my teen/collage years with the choices. I remember spending my Art lessons listening to songs by these artists with my portable CD player.
The mapping of the tracks are perfect, and you rarely get a break with the more up-beat tempo of the tracks, and it wouldn’t be Punk with the plethora of off-beat notes to hit. With this in mind it really does feel like you are playing the drums again, never mind which mode or difficulty you play/prefer.
THE VERDICT
PotamWorks really struck a cord (or should I say banged a drum) with this track pack, taking me back to those rebellious teenage years of my life. With another fantastic choice and mix of songs in the punk genre that is certainly worth expanding your song library with. The team really are making a great library of legendary tracks and artists with each release, and Punk Rock Legends has only added to this.
