What is Meow Wolf?

Born in Santa Fe in 2008 as an underground art collective, the living being called “Meow Wolf” is made of hundreds of artists and storytellers from all over this universe. Together, we imagine and create new immersive worlds to explore.

THE COURSE

Over my time playing through the easy and hard courses this course has become my favorite out of them all. The team really have taken the opportunity of the collaboration to make a very psychedelic and sensory course. From all the bright popping colors, the creatures you encounter and moving from above to below the course, it all really feels something special.

This really has allowed the creative juices of the team to flow and bring some great touches to the holes, from making the ball bigger, flat and skimming the ball across water to name a few. Which shows the source material not only allowed them to get creative with the environment around you, but how the holes play also.

As you have come to expect with every new hole, you will have the eighteen balls to find around the easy course, and the foxhunt to complete on the hard course. There is some is very good designs on the balls, but then some very plain considering what the course is based around. The foxhunt for me was the most difficult one to date, and some had me looking for a good while. Then unfortunately, like some of the balls I feel the club missed a opportunity to take full advantage of Meow Wolf and what the course was offering visually.

THE VERDICT

As mentioned over my time playing the new course, it has become my favorite. Mighty Coconut really made full use of the source material offered by Meow Wolf, and made a course that is not only really fun to play, but also excellently designed. Each hole will bring up a new challenge and obstacle that fits perfectly into what Meow Wolf offers.

If do not own the game yet and are considering whether the game is worth buying, make sure to check out my review.
